Uncertainty analysis of discharge coefficient of circular crested weirs

Abstract The circular crested weir (CCW) has been introduced as weirs having a high discharge coefficient (Cd). ratio of flow head to the radius crest ( H / R ) is most important parameter affecting Cd, that $${\text{Cd}} \approx a\left( {H/R} \right)^{b}$$ Cd ? a H / R b can mathematical model their relation. In this study, parameters Cd formula (i.e., and b were uncertainty analyzed using Monte Carlo (MC) Bootstrap methods (BM). To perform these methods, some built-in functions Excel software utilized. results declared average values 1.187 0.140. outcome MC method showed range at 95% confidence interval changed between 1.179 1.194 0.134 0.146, respectively, while same BM ranged from 1.200 0.133 0.147.
